Description

Tasks under a Product Backlog Item are not moved in a new sprint when they are filtered out in the plan board.

Solution

Only visible child items are moved with the parent item when it is dropped onto another iteration or area. The problem is, the hidden work items may be hidden because they belong to another team, or for many other reasons so tasks that are not done and not visible should not always move with their parent no questions asked. For the moment, hidden  tasks have to be manually moved to the new sprint.
