Why is the work item state not updating as I move it across thew swim lanes on ths sprint backlog board

I create a new task (although it appears to be any work item) and it is initially displayed in the "Not started" column which in our custom template maps to the state new.  When I drag it to "In Progress"  and then I open the work item, it still has a state New.  When I reload the page, the state is properly displayed as "In Progress".  Can you tell me what is causing this issue?

Thanks, Eric

Sorry,  I should mention that I have a custom mapping file for our process template as it is a modified version of Scrum. Also, I using the latest version of urban turtle which I think is 4.10.

In further testing, I have created a custom board that happy the complete "happy path" states for our work items.  Sometime when I move a work item from one state to the next via the drag and drop, and then open, its state is properly updates, sometimes not.  It appears that I have to refresh the work item in order to get the updated information.  I do not see this similar behavior in our 2010 version

    Hi Eric,

When the card is moved from one column to another, the state of the work item is updated in the database. We think the discrepancy between the actual state of the work item and the state that is displayed in the detail window is caused by some kind of javascript cache that Microsoft added to Web Access and that we do not update when we update the work item state.

In other words, the state of the work item is changed on the server but not in the cache that is kept locally in the web browser. This is most likely why reloading the page makes the detail windows display the correct state

I have logged a bug and it is awaiting prioritization.
