Inheriting assignment and area when creating new tasks under a PBI in the Product Backlog

When creating a new task under a PBI in the PB view it doesn't seem to inherit the assignee of the PBI, is this a setting somewhere?

Also I've noticed that it will only inherit the area of the PBI if you click 'Add' and not 'Add with details' - is this a bug or by design?
